We Don’t Buy Junk — But Here’s What We Do Instead

We get it. You paid good money for that fridge, TV, or washing machine. It’s only a few years old. It looks okay. Surely someone out there will buy it, right?
Maybe. But probably not.
Every day, we get WhatsApp messages that go something like:
“Hi, I have a 55” TV. It’s spoilt.
Do you buy?”“I want to sell my washing machine. It’s leaking a bit but still working.”
“Old mattress in good condition — can trade in?”
Short answer? No. We don’t buy junk. But we do help you deal with it the right way.
Why We Don’t Buy Used or Spoilt Items
The Singapore secondhand market is extremely picky. Buyers want:
Functioning items
Clean appearance
Known brands in demand
Even then, resale prices are low due to oversupply. Spoilt appliances? Torn sofas? Bug-infested mattresses? No thanks.
We’re not resellers. We’re a professional removal and disposal service. Our job is to take what you don’t need — and can’t sell — and remove it safely, affordably, and legally.
You waste time messaging strangers on Carousell or FB Marketplace.
They ghost you, or worse — show up late and leave without taking the item.
You end up scrambling to find someone last minute (hello, moving day panic).
Worse still, some people contact removal services pretending they want to dispose, but are actually hoping someone will magically want to buy it. That leads to frustration, miscommunication, and wasted ad budgets for small businesses like ours.
Here’s What We Do Instead
Dispose of broken, used, or bulky furniture and appliances
Get fast quotes with photos sent via WhatsApp
Avoid fines for illegal dumping
Clear items from condos, HDBs, or landed homes
Access (stairs, lifts, truck distance)
Item type and weight
Quantity of items
There’s no middleman, no fuss — just a clear, direct service.
What Counts As Junk?
Let’s be honest. If it’s spoilt, infested, broken, leaking, warped, smells bad, or hasn’t worked in years — it’s junk.
Spoilt TVs, fridges, and washing machines
Torn sofas and broken bedframes
Used mattresses
Wooden cabinets, shelves, and TV consoles
Small appliances with missing parts
It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone has junk — but not everyone disposes of it the right way.
But I Still Want to Try Selling…
By all means, go ahead — just don’t mix up resale platforms with removal services.
Use these instead:
Carousell
Facebook Marketplace
Telegram “free to take” groups
If no one bites after a few days, chances are it’s not worth the space it’s taking up.
At Junk Value, we’re not here to judge. We’re here to help you clear space, free your mind, and keep things moving.
