Town Council didn’t take one of your bulky items? It happens more often than you think. Here’s why some pieces get left behind and what your options are.
You booked your Town Council’s free bulky item collection and neatly placed everything out front — but when you came back, one large item was still there. What gives?
Let’s break it down:
Most HDB Town Councils only collect up to 3 bulky items per household per month. If you left out 4 or more, they may have taken only the first few listed or visible.
Commonly rejected items include:
Items requiring disassembly
Town Councils focus on lightweight, manageable junk that doesn’t need special handling or disposal.
Items that:
Can’t fit into a lift
Are blocking corridors or escape routes
…are often skipped due to safety or manpower issues.
You must clearly label items for disposal and declare them in advance. If one item wasn’t on the form, it may have been excluded.
Option 1: Contact the Town Council for a rebooking
Option 2: Book a fast removal with Junk Value.
We handle all the items Town Councils reject:
Heavy, oversized, or awkwardly shaped junk
White goods like fridges, washers, and TVs
Same-day or urgent clearances
