Ever had a caller expect you to pay them for their spoilt washing machine? 😅
Today’s gem:
Caller: “Hi, do you collect washing machines?”
Me: “Yes, we do.”
Caller: “Ok, but it’s not working.”
Me: “We charge $50 to remove.”
Caller: “Huh… I must pay ah?”
Me: “Why don't you continue to use it?"
Caller: "Because it's spoilt mah.. how to use?"
Me: "So what can we do with it?"
Caller: “I dunno… maybe can sell for metal or something.”
Me: “Can you take a look at it and see if its made of only plastic or anywhere got metal?”
Caller: “Oh… I dunno.”
We both burst out laughing before hanging up. End of day, no deal—but at least we got a good laugh! 😂
Moral of the story: Some things can’t be bought in stores—including common sense.
